Changing weather alters how pieces move every few turns.
How to play
The weather changes every 4 plies, and the forecast is shown in the Game log panel. Clear: normal chess. Storm: bishops, rooks and queens move at most 2 squares, and when a storm arrives lightning destroys any non-king piece on the ⚡ square. Ice: sliding pieces and kings moving to an empty square cannot stop early, so they slide until something blocks them (captures still work normally). Blizzard: pieces on frozen (pale blue) squares cannot move. Check rules apply: you may not leave your king attacked (with the weather of the next move, and after any lightning strike). Checkmate wins. If the weather leaves a side with no legal move while not in check, it passes. No castling or en passant.
You play White against the bot. Tap a piece, then tap a highlighted square.
