Hexagonal cells create new movement angles.
How to play
Played on a hexagon of 91 hexagonal cells in three colours. Rooks move in straight lines through cell edges (6 directions); bishops move along the 6 "diagonal" lines through cell corners and stay on one colour; queens combine both; kings step one cell in any of those 12 directions; knights leap to the 12 nearest cells not on a rook or bishop line. Pawns move straight forward (two cells on their first move), capture one cell forward-left or forward-right, and promote to a queen on the far edge. No castling or en passant. Checkmate wins; stalemate is a draw.
