Eight armies in a shrinking arena: be the last king standing.
How to play
Eight small armies (rook, knight, king, bishop and four pawns) start around the edge of a 16×16 arena; you are Red, seven bots are everyone else. Pieces move as in chess (no castling or en passant) and you may not leave your king in check. Every few turns the storm closes in by one ring: squares highlighted red are next to fall, and any piece still standing there when the storm arrives is destroyed — including kings. Pawns promote to a queen when they can no longer step forward. Checkmated, captured, or storm-caught kings are eliminated. Be the last king standing.
